You can now automate these tests using an extension for Vortex. Install it here. We do our best to provide access to all mods for users all over the world, however, we are sometimes hampered by conditions beyond our control. A download link between two computers is deceptively simple, but it can involve the data you requested being sent halfway around the world before it arrives on your computer, passing through hundreds of different servers and cables. If there is a problem with any piece of equipment along the route it may be beyond our ability to fix it. Our developers work hard to ensure that your downloads are being routed to the server with the best connection but there are times when these limitations that are outside of our control mean that we cannot provide you with a fast download speed.

In these cases, we may ask you to consult with your Internet Service Provider ISP to see if they can improve the way they route your traffic to our servers. Please note that the minimum download cap we enforce is 1. If you are getting a consistently limited speed which is lower than the maximum for your membership tier, this is not being enforced by us and is either a connection problem or a limit from your ISP. You can read more about our download caps and membership tiers here. Before we get into the more advanced troubleshooting, it's important to cover the simple problems we often encounter which can be fixed with relative ease. In this section, we'll be checking your maximum connection speed to each of our server locations. For each of these links please stop all other downloads on your PC, click a link, allow seconds for the speed to stabilize, take a note of the speed, then stop the download and try the next one.

Asked by Lanyon , January 29, I just decided to do another epic Skyrim install after a long hiatus. This is my first time trying to use MO , but not my first time using STEP. I've followed the first steps of the STEP guide to a tee. Fresh vanilla installation and everything. MO appears to have installed perfectly fine, except that for the life of me it won't download anything from the nexus. I have the paths all set up properly, I have my Nexus account properly associated, I clicked the globe icon to bring up the nexus webpage in Firefox but whenever I click on the Download with Manager link for a mod, absolutely nothing happens. No error message, nothing. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any ideas how to get it fixed? I was just going to go for manual downloads but then i saw a thread on these forums about how that may be a bad idea because it forces MO to try to identify the mod by it's name only since it wasn't downloaded with all the appropriate metadata, which could lead to problems further down the road.

Any help would be much appreciated! I use manual downloads most of the time because their speed tends to be faster and also downloads via MO often won't start which is a nexus server issue. Manual downloading is not a problem at all. Only difference is to retrieve the version info really, but you can easily add that in yourself.
